Ticket Giveaway

We have two pairs of 3-day passes for the Pitchfork Music Festival (July 13th-15th) to give away to two lucky HearYa readers. We’re offering these with the support of eMusic, who is promoting a one of a kind concert experience with an Electromusical Energy Visualizer. “Say what?!” you say?

The “eMusic Electromusical Energy Visualizer  (3EV)” is an otherworldly space where listeners can literally see the impact of the Festival’s music on their personal ‘aura.’ Anyone attending the festival can stop by, see how their favorite music affects their mood, and find their own music match.  They’ll even walk away with the photos to prove it, courtesy of aura-reading photo booths created using utilizing genuine Kirlian cameras – a form of photography made from using electricity that’s said to represent the ‘human aura.’

So make sure to stop by the 3EV to measure the festival’s impact on your aura. And get there early so the result is something other than “sweaty and drunk.”

To win the free passes, just email freeshit@hearya.com with “pitchfork giveaway” in the subject line and include your name and mailing address in the body of the email (passes will be sent to you in the mail). We’ll announce the winners tomorrow afternoon.

Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson is playing at Schubas this Friday, January 16th and we’ve got a pair of tickets to givaway.‚  He’s on the bill with All the Saints, Colourmusic, and Cursive, all of which I’m completely unfamiliar with, but‚  I’m still loving Miles’ debut album from last year and am looking forward to seeing him in person.

If you want the tix, just email us at freeshit@hearya.com with “Miles” in the subject line. If you win, you’ll get your name on the guest list with a +1 at the door.

MBAR is also performing in-store at Reckless Records on 3161 N. Broadway on 1/17 at 1pm in case you can’t make the Schubas show. And if you miss that, we’ve got you covered with an upcoming live session.

We’ve got a really cool giveaway today for Chicagoans, but you’ll need to act fast to win.

Brett Dennen is performing a private show in the Altitude Room at the W Hotel in downtown Chicago tomorrow night (11/12), sponsored by XRT. The room only has capacity for 150 people, so Dennen fans will get a really intimate concert.

If you are a reader in Chicago, you can email your full name to hearyablog@yahoo.com with Brett Dennen in the subject line by noon CST tomorrow.

If you don’t win the tickets, you can still catch him at Schubas on Thursday, 11/13.
