Normally not one to jump all over an actor’s music side project, there’s something about Ryan Gosling’s band that has me very intrigued. It started with their video in a graveyard and my description of their sounds as “goth folk doo-wap.” Certainly not something you hear everyday.
They just released their first track called “My Body’s A Zombie For You” and the full length album will be released on October 6th via Anti Records.

If I’d have known Dead Man’s Bones was co-founded by that cute actor, Ryan Gosling, I probably wouldn’t have given it a chance. I have something against actors turning into musicians. I think it started with Corey Feldman.
Lucky for me, I started watching and then later found that Gosling was in the band. I fully appreciate this song. Well written, well played and solid vocals. Kudos Gosling. I’m all ears for the full album (to be released on October 6th). I say this as if he’s reading.
