Sarah Tudzin, your main illuminati or hottie depending on your point of view, has had herself a year. Well we all have but she has had some other challenges as well in regards to getting her sophomore release out in the world. There’s a great interview on Stereogum that is worth your time. Here’s some info from the PR Team.

Though it was tracked locally between drummer Tim Kmet’s rehearsal space and Tudzin’s home, FREE IH sounds like an homage to the bands you’d catch on club stages during a sleepless, electrifying cross-country tour. It’s a product of Sarah’s wide array of influences, ranging from snotty Californian forebears Dead Kennedys and Black Flag to the innovation and bravado of Death Grips and Cardi B.

Deau Eyes is the moniker of Richmond, VA-based singer/songwriter Ali Thibodeau. She’s signed to Egg Hunt Records and is set to release her debut LP and make a stop over at SXSW. Produced by Jacob Blizard (Lucy Dacus) and Collin Pastore (illuminati hotties), think this album is gonna be a winner. Here’s some info on the first track. Here’s Thibodeau on the track.

“‘Some Do’ is a portrait of my life as an actress/singer/dancer in the audition rooms of NYC and my journey breaking out of that lifestyle. I was truly pounding the pavement as a musical theatre performer and found myself scrambling for who I was. I had a particularly brutal rejection after a few years of no work and my brother offered some sage advice, ‘Burn all your bridges and never look back. Do something with your songs.’ So I quit my waitressing job, stopped going to theatre auditions, and started busking on the street.”

Sarah Tudzin is the main illuminati hottie. Tudzin surrounds herself with other illuminati hotties for an upbeat fuzzy pop sound that is infectious. This new track is the follow up to last year’s excellent Kiss Yr Frenemies. This tune was born out of a date that Sarah had where there was a bigger connection with the dog as opposed to her date.

Sarah and crew will be running around Austin for SXSW. I plan on taking in a set. You should do the same.
