Holiday Music

Although I loves me some Bing Crosby, I don’t listen to traditional Christmas music all that much. There are two songs in my music library that I always revisit each year, however – “Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis” by Tom Waits and “Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues. Both are lyrical masterpieces.

Here are live videos of each along with two quality covers of the songs by other artists. Happy Holidays.

Right now our inbox is full of holiday songs submitted by indie bands. Some are covers, some are originals, and I haven’t found one that’s really worthy of sharing…until now. And it’s not necessarily because of the song – I just dig the title. You gotta appreciate the honesty from Death To Anders.
