Zales has a new commercial that’s getting serious play, just in time to capitalize on all those dudes looking to score this holiday season. The commercial features The Black Keys song “Girl Is On My Mind” off of 2004’s Rubber Factory.

I recently ran across this Fable III Revolution commercial song during an episode of Pawn Stars. It features the song “Young Man Dead” by The Black Angels. It’s coincidental since we just gave away tickets to their show at Metro tomorrow and they’re stopping in for a live studio session with us.

I’m not a much of a gamer these days, so I know nothing about Fable III Revolution. We’ve come a long way since Metroid. Congrats to The Black Angels for the spot.

Here are the lyrics heard in the commercial:

Run for the hills, pick up your feet and let’s go.
We did our jobs, pick up the speed now lets move.
The trees can’t grow without the sun in their eyes.
And we can’t live if we’re too afraid to die.
Hold on tight, yes hold on tight you’re too slow.

I’ve been hearing more and more indie songs in commercials (and TV shows) lately, so being that we’ve decided that licensing music for commercials is not selling out, I thought I should call some attention to them.‚  Here’s Noah and The Whale’s “5 Years Time” featured in a commercial for the Saturn Outlook.
