Dax w/ one x, my bad
Thanks for the kind words, Timmy Martin. I was really happy with the way that one came out. Dax and his band did a great job!
This is a great site! Just recommended by Greg Danziger! I caught Cameron McGill and What Army at the JBTV studios yesterday. Fantastic! Check them out! Flogging Molly tonight at the Congress, then Warpaint at Lincoln Hall in 2 weeks! March is gonna be a good month.
Thanks for being here for this community. All of these artists deserve the notoriety you give them, and I’m glad there’s someone out there who will do it. Let me know what you think of my latest release.
Hey-O!
A friend turned me on to your site a five or so years ago. I thought it was good then, but as way leads to way, I fell out of the habit of visiting. Its been at least a year since I checked in and you’ve still got it rockin’ strong without selling out.
I just wanted to say ‘nice work’… I like the way you’ve kept it straight forward, no-frills, and with a minimum of annoying ads. More importantly, ya’ still never fail to turn me on to something good that I’d likely not have found otherwise ~ Which is a big plus for an ol’ dog like me.
Unlike the most of the internet, Hear*ya is one of few places on the net that actually performs a practical and useful function in my everyday life ~ So, thank you for that!
Chris
Just enquiring as to email/postal address for review material please?
Read your posts about Deep Dark Woods & The Sheepdogs. As an old Saskatoon boy now living in Wisconsin you made me proud and homesick.
Hey Guys
I would like to submit my music for a write up or a simple MP3 post, what is the best way for me to do that? I don’t want to send you guys an email to the wrong place and make you have to read more stuff (as I’m sure you already read a ton)
Thanks and hope all is well
Jason Gaffner
G’day,
I love what you guys are doing here and, as an indie musician myself, really appreciate what you’re doing for music fans and artists alike. I was wondering if you accept submissions for review?
I have a new album coming out next month that I’d love to send your way. In the meantime, you can check out the first single on youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh-f0Xfq_gA
Cheers.

Hello Everyone,
I really appreciate your pro indie stance. I just started an indie label called Temposetta Entertainment, LLC in Alexandria Louisiana and am working hard to gain exposure. Our first release is called MY CHULA and I am the featured artist. Please check it out on youtube at: http://youtu.be/C_qxujIWKcY
It is available for download on iTunes and MySpace Music, if you feel inclined to purchase it….
Thanks for all you do. Keep getting after it!!!

Hello! I’m in a Chicago band called The Cell Phones. We just finished our Halloween music video (featuring a song from our 30-minute haunted house soundtrack). We want to get this video on as many sites as humanly possible! If you need a good video to get your readers into the Halloweeny mood, this is it, guys!
Here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PM8lbEYIm4
And our bandcamp site (where you can find our music) http://cellphonesband.bandcamp.com
Thank you!

Hey there, I didn’t see anything about music submissions so I’m sending you a link with this message. Love the bands and the music and would like to be included, basically. Our EP “Second Life” is very close to being released, and here’s a link to my favorite song off of the EP; “Past The Edge” – http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51105419/02%20Past%20The%20Edge.mp3
We’d be willing to offer a free song download from: http://www.soundcloud.com/TripEffect
We really hope you decide to take the three minutes to give us a listen, and more, we hope you like it. It’s sites like yours that give independent musicians a chance to be heard. We’d love to do a live gig or whatever works for you guys (interviews, reviews, etc.), it’s awesome how many contributors you guys have. We play all over Chicago. Thanks a lot for you time, it’s much appreciated. Let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your job easier.

Just wanted to say thank you for keeping your finger on the pulse of so many incredible musicians. This is my go-to site for all things music and you have turned me on to many of my favorite bands. Would’ve loved to have met you in person at SXSW!
Hey
I really dig what your site is doing for indie artists and bands. I was wondering if you accept submissions for review?
I’ve produced, managed, and now promoting Kyle Adem on Ghost Motel Records label and would really want to offer a few cuts. Hopefully you enjoy and share.
Here, you can stream the whole album “armour” which will release 6/5/12

Thank you for your time and what you’re doing with this community.
Your site’s great!
I think you’d all be interested in The Leadership and their album Frontiers – http://theleadership.bandcamp.com/album/frontiers
One of y’all has to be here at Lee Fields (Lincoln Hall)
Greatness ! That is all.

Hey, check out our music video, we’re a young indie rock band from Montreal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No-XXkRdkGg
Like all posters here, I appreciate & enjoy what you do for all Indie musicians. I also admire how the site has proven itself a powerhouse in the Indie scene.
Also like all posters I’d enjoy a lil exposure from the site. Ha. Of Course we all would. You do great stuff & we all know it! With that said We, Kalance Theory would appreciate anytime spent checking out our music. We’ve been getting a decent amount of Indie radio play, even chosen as on of New Driven’s Top Torqued act s of 2012 & have a song that was chosen for an Indie film Soundtrack being shot in LA currently.
This is our 1st release as a band, so we’ve been pleased with the reaction, even before it releases in a couple weeks. To hear the EP I’m Ok check out http://www.ryankeeton.com. We’re even going to offer this free to a group of fans! We just want to be heard.
Thanks again for all this site is & continues to grow to be!
You guys are absolutely killin’ it. I’ve been looking for a site like this for a while. Much appreciation.
Hey guys, I was hoping you might have a few minutes to check out my band Red Light Refugee. We’re from Milwaukee, WI, we’ve got a diverse sound, and we’re really starting to pull good crowds at shows. We have our entire music catalog on our FB page right now, but we’ll be taking it down soon to promote our first official EP. Thanks a ton!

Hi there,
My name is Jake Pappas and I am the lead singer of a band called J. Thoven. We are SoCal based and will be heading our way out to SXSW this year for the first time. Our band got together in March of last year and since than has been very blessed and stoked on our progress and the opportunities to play with great indie bands alike. I was hoping you could give our EP a listen and if you like it, maybe do some coverage on our shows at SXSW. Our EP is available for free at http://www.jthoven.com
Hope to hear from you guys. Thanks.
Really big fans of your blog. Would love for you to share our stuff also.
You can listen to our music here: http://www.soundcloud.com/haus-4

Greetings!
My name is Nick. I am one half of an Indie Duo named ‘Get Along’.
We are a band based out of Denver, CO. We are embarking on our third tour of the Midwest (in the last year) this June. We are thrilled to be playing in Chicago for the first time!
I am looking into music blogs, publications, and radio in the area to try and promote our show on June 12th at Ace Bar.
Our sound is a unique, versatile, chaotic one; energetic and fit for a quartet. We just released our ‘WE TRIED SO HARD TO BE SO COOL EP’ in March of this year. You can listen to that EP at this link – http://www.getalongmusic.bandcamp.com/.
We really hope you enjoy our music. If so, we’d love a mention, write-up, listing, or anything at all that could help in creating some buzz for our June 12th show.
Thank you so much, either way we love what you do for music!
-Nick
Hey Guys,
I’m a fellow Chicagoan. Just saw a band called The Lonely Wild at Schubas on Friday night and they were amazing. I think others would really dig the western/indie sound they have.
They just release a debut album called The Sun as it Comes. Please take the time and give the album a listen.
Thanks!
