Martha – Love Keeps Kicking (album review)

by Woody on May 6, 2019

Martha has followed up on 2016’s Blisters in the Pit of My Heart with an even better LP. Their pop-punk sound is on point from the get-go and doesn’t let up for one minute.

Love Keeps Kicking feels like an album that kicks them up to bigger audiences. I liked Blisters but on Love Keeps Kicking the lyrics are better, playing is better (the guitar playing is really spectacular) and the production has the album jumping out of the speakers. Wrestlemania VII, Mini Was a Preteen Arsonist and Lucy Shone a Light On You are among my favorites but in reality, there isn’t really one weak track among the bunch.
