Vertical Scratchers release new track, plan to be at SXSW

by Woody on January 30, 2019

Haven’t heard much since Vertical Scratchers released their debut LP, Daughter of Everything in 2013. Wound up catching a set at SXSW and enjoying the frenetic pop. Well, there back and this track smokes. And they’ll be at SXSW again.

For their first new music since 2014’s Daughter of Everything, California’s Vertical Scratchers present “Song of Earth,” a number that twists and turns as hypnotically as any from the minds of John Schmersal (Brainiac, Enon, Crooks on Tape, live-band Caribou) and Christian Beaulieu (Modern Limbs, Triclops!, Anywhere).
