Knuckle Pups announce 4 song cassette EP, San Panino

Got an email from this band last week where they told me that they had been reading my Saintseneca review as Zac Little and crew are one of their favorites. There is certianly some similarity between this new Denver outfit and Saintseneca. So if you were one of the other dozen people that read that review, I’d suggest checking out the track below. Here’s some info from the band.

Denver indie-punk band knuckle pups debut release San Panino is out on October 27th. Knuckle pups situates themselves smack in the divide between melodic indie rock, and emotionally raw punk music. “We’re punks playing indie music, says Oliver Holloway, principle songwriter. I grew up playing in punk bands but also always listened to pretty bands like Sufjan Stevens, this is our punk ass attempt to try and make something as pretty as we can without losing the rawness or ethic of DIY punk culture”. New Reckless is a synth heavy track that traverses between pop hooks and swelling cathardic crescendos, with a chorus “I’ll promise to cross this desert if you promise to survive, so hold on. Hold on” referencing Holloway’s experience as a caretaker for his terminally ill sister. Look for San Panino from Wild Baby Records on all major streaming platforms.
