Snail Mail announces Lush for 6/8 release

by Woody on March 21, 2018

No matter how many times I tweeted at Babs, she refused to clone me like her dogs. Thus their were many artists that I missed at SXSW. Snail Mail (aka Lindsey Jordan) was at the top of that list. I was shut out of one of her shows and too lazy to traipse across town for another. Hearing this song makes me regret that decision. Her debut LP, Lush, will see the light of day on 6/8 via the fine folks at Matador. Here’s some info on the album:

Throughout Lush, Jordan’s clear and powerful voice, acute sense of pacing, and razor-sharp writing cut through the chaos and messiness of growing up: the passing trends, the awkward house parties, the sick-to-your-stomach crushes and the heart wrenching breakups. Jordan’s most masterful skill is in crafting tension, working with muted melodrama that builds and never quite breaks, stretching out over moody rockers and soft-burning hooks, making for visceral slow-releases that stick under the skin.
