Two Gallants’ Broken Eyes [new mp3]

by oz on June 7, 2012

San Francisco’s Two Gallants have been quiet for the past five years, but the silence has been broken with an announcement that they’ve signed with ATO Records and will be releasing a new album on September 4th.

The Bloom and The Blight was produced by John Congleton (The Walkmen, Explosions In The Sky, St. Vincent) and, despite the folky track offered as a free download below, the album claims have less folk and blues influence like past efforts and more explosive sounds steeped in punk and grunge.

The folk and blues on “Broken Eyes” is treating me just fine. You can hit play to hear it or enter your email to get the download.

This band is awesome! If you are looking for some similar music to listen to then I suggest you go check out Brandi Carlile’s new album “Bear Creek”. Here is a video for one of those songs from the album
