Will Johnson’s acoustic Iso Residue [Centro-Matic]

by oz on November 9, 2011

One of my favorite songs of the year is “Iso Residue” by Centro-Matic off their album Candidate Waltz. Will Johnson just released a video where he performs the song live and acoustic and Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio. It’s a real nice alternate take of the track and very nice video production.

Catch the band on the road in November:

10 – Kansas City MO – Record Bar
12 – Denver CO – High Dive
13 – Durango CO – Abbey Theatre
15 – Salt Lake City UT – Urban Lounge
16 – Reno NV – The Underground
17 – San Francisco CA – Bottom of The Hill
18 – Los Angeles CA – The Satellite
19 – Tucson AZ – Club Congress

That guitar sounds deep.

One man. one guitar. pure talent. This man was not screaming at me, he wasn’t cussing at me, or name dropping (Jason Derulooooo). I was searching different music blogs and found this song and fell in love. This song is very mellow and makes me want to be on a beach reading. I noticed in this song that there is not really a bridge or a chorus which I found to be very interesting. New trend? Besides the song the music video was so fun to watch fit the tone of the song so well-slow, soulful, and a little sad! Great song. Will Johnson needs to put more out!

Centro-Matic has performed fabulous. “Iso-Residue” is the short song on the 10th album by Texas rock quartet Centro-matic. Video of this song is also very nice. I haven’t listened all the songs of his album Candidate Waltz. I have attended his concert that was held in Spain on April 1, 2011 and at the end of the concert I took his photograph.
