Indie darling Jason Quever, better known as the musical act Papercuts, has just signed with quite possibly the most heralded indie label out there, Sub Pop Records (Fleet Foxes, The Shins, Blitzen Trapper…need I go on?). Sub Pop issued a release where they gushed over their new signing, and with good reason.

We wrote about Papercuts excellent album, You Can Have What You Want, back in July when I compared Quever to my main man Kevin Bacon. I think our boy DBT Chicago was the only person who hopped on the Papercuts train at that time, but the new record deal will be sure to bring in plenty of new fans. They’ll be targeting an album release sometime in 2011.
