As always I’m looking forward to studying this list…and as always, I can’t figure out why you guys won’t post the list in descending order so that you read down the page from 50.
Moish…while it feels weird now, it will make sense in the end. I think the idea is that once the list is complete, the numero uno album of the year is at the top of the list. We’re very indie at hearya and do things against the grain whenever possible. Hello from rainy, overcast Mexico…still better than cold gray Chicago right now, I’m sure. Happy Holidays!
I still haven’t learned to count backwards. Maybe next year.
I’m with you on the A.A. Bondy selection, I’ve been following him since Souls For Sale and I’ve never not loved something he’s put out. You guys should do another session with him!
Adam, we’ll have another session w/ Bondy released very soon. He stopped in the studio a few weeks ago.
Ive been visiting your site for a year now and must say you all have given me access to some great music, thank you all. When your stuck in the UK with the rubbish that we have at the moment, its great to have all the albums on your top 50 as recommended, curious you haven’t mentioned Malcolm Holcombe, anyway thanks again
hello Oz,
great list of music, thanks for sharing this with us.
You can read our best of 2009 @ http://kokomo.fr (#1 is Bill Callahan)
Greetings from France
Jérôme
The only logical reason that Visqueen’s new album isn’t in your top 50 is that you guys haven’t heard it yet.
Fantastic List. Just finished listening through from front to back. I think I will start again. Top Notch!
I am soglad to see The Builders and The Butchers getting some of the recognition they deserve. Thanks for the great list!
