Most indie bands/labels are on a shoestring budget when it comes to producing music videos, but 2009 came with the goods. My favorite video of the year was released in January for Department of Eagles 2008 song “No One Does It Like You.” Each video has captivating imagery and each is completely bizarre in its own way.
1. Department Of Eagles – No One Does It Like You
2. Land of Talk – It’s Okay
3. The Low Anthem – Charlie Darwin
4. Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros – Kisses Over Babylon
5. Ramona Falls – I Say Fever
Honorable Mention: Patrick Watson – Fireweed

It’s a huge crime to not have Blitzen Trapper’s “Black River Killer” music video in this list. It’s not only one of the best of the year, but one of the best of the decade. Read the comments on the youtube page, others agree too. And they’re indie too.
I agree. Totally forgot about that video.
What is the origin of the Low Anthem video, I see Feist used pretty much the same video for Honey Honey?
