Last weekend I was hooked on Lissie’s upcoming EP, Why You Runnin’, due out on 11/10 via Fat Possum Records. This new school folkie is from Rock Island, IL but now lives alone in a farmhouse in Ojai, CA where she drinks wine and paints rocks. I seriously pulled that from her bio.
Thinks are looking up for Lissie, who is embarking on a November tour with Ray Lamontagne. We’re working on booking her for a live session when she passes through the windy (and cold) city.

I’m a big fan of “Oh Mississippi” off of her EP. Looking forward to having her in for the session.
