I can’t remember the last time an album has moved me like Other Lives’ self-titled debut. There’s a song on that album called “Black Tables” that takes me to another world. We have them booked for a session on Thursday and I have a feeling it’ll be something special. i am going to see elvis perkins at schubas thursday and was pleasantly surprised to learn the other lives are opening.
while i generally prefer rocking out at live shows, tomorrow will be a welcomed evening of candlelights, crossed legs and maybe an ’06 merlot.

The Other Lives session we cut yesterday was fantastic. Can’t wait to share it with everyone. Their live show later that night at Schubas was killer as well. Really enjoyed hanging with the band, a great group of musicians and people.
