You can tell summer is right around the corner because I’m wearing jorts and the concert calendar is heating up in all major cities. Here are my quick April concert picks for Chicago readers. My top pick is a tie between the Red Cortez/War On Drugs/Tallest Man On Earth show at Schubas on 4/5 and the Other Lives/ Elvis Perkins show on 4/30, also at Schubas. That’s great bang for the buck.

don’t forget The Love Language at the Hideout on 4/2…
Good catch. Not sure how I overlooked Love Language.
Andrew Bird 4/9 4/10 Civic Opera
The Record Low is playing Subterranean on April 11th with JT and The Clouds. I’ll be covering bass duties for The Record Low. Should be fun.
The 4/4 Biram show has been postponed due to his broken leg — too bad, the show was on SHB’s birthday, too!
But, he’ll be back around for the release of his new album out in May.
Didn’t he get run over by a truck once? That guy has some shitty luck.
HELLO!
Not sure if interested but here are some other shows worth mentioning…IMHO
