The Felice Brothers give away new track from upcoming album [new mp3]

The Felice Brothers have offered up a free mp3 from their upcoming album, Yonder Is The Clock via Team Love Records.

They describe the album like so:

Yonder Is The Clock is a nod to the American ghosts that lend both narrative and characters to the forthcoming release, a record literally teaming with tales of love, death, betrayal, baseball, train stations, phantoms, pandemics, jail cells, rolling rivers and frozen winter nights.

I drank a beer with James (the big accordion playing brother) at SXSW, but I don’t remember much of what was said to one another. I’m pretty sure I was awesome.

They are streaming another track called “Penn Station” here.

This is by far my most anticipated release of the year. I’m expecting so much from it I’m not sure how the hell it’ll meet my expectations.

They seem like the most approachable band, when I saw them they hung outside their van/RV thing while fans got their pictures taken and knocked a few back with them. The funny thing was they used the same exit as we did so they had to wait like everyone else to out. James ended up standing next to me so I shook his hand, told him “great show” and he responds with “thank you sir”. The dude called me sir. That concludes my long-winded story.

That’s what I love about SxSW (and indie music in general). I get starstruck when I meet guys like Justin Townes Earle and I’m always surprised at how humble, nice and appreciative everyone is.

I guess the only real “famous” asshole I’ve ever met is Johnny Bench. Contrary to what I had seen on the Baseball Bunch as a kid, that guy is a real prick.
