Another hotly anticipated release of 2009 for us at HearYa is Elvis Perkins’ forthcoming effort, slated to be released sometime in the spring. Elvis and the boys are currently streaming 3 brand-spanking new tracks on their web site. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go here immediately.
Some of you may have heard “Shampoo” before, but “Send My Fond Regards to Lonelyville” and “Doomsday” are both fresh as daisies. If these tracks are any indication, this album is going to kick a buttload of butt.
Elvis Perkins – Shampoo
Elvis Perkins – Send My Fond Regards To Lonelyville
Elvis Perkins – Doomsday
Update: The “Elvis Perkins” website hosting these tracks is not the official website and the tracks were posted against the wishes of Elvis and the record label. We’ve removed the links to the mp3’s.

That’s weird, the site even had a supposed thank you from Elvis and his band.
I can’t imagine anything coming close to Ash Wednesday, for me that album is untouchable but what I heard earlier today sounds very good, really looking forward to this album.
I noticed that as well. It looked pretty official, but the label said that Elvis didn’t want those tracks floating around. They are streaming on the official site.
Whooah, it looked pretty damn official! In any case, great songs. Should be a great release, amazing voice.
