We first met Daniel James, lead singer and guitarist of San Francisco’s Leopold and His Fiction, back in 2006 at SxSW in Austin. I loved the low-fi blues sound on their first album and the duo has since added a female bass guitarist/vocalist which broadens their sound. The new album, Ain’t No Surprise is scheduled for release on January 12th. It’ll be a nice way to start off the new year.
