Nashville indie/country mainstays Lambchop have just released their new album, Oh (Ohio), on Merge Records (also home to Spoon, Oakley Hall, She & Him). The standout track, “Slipped Dissolved and Loosed”, is an absolutely gorgeous gem of a song. I can’t get enough. I love the beautiful fingerpicking and walking bass line. Kurt Wagner’s vocals are absolutely perfect, seemingly trailing off into the distance with every word he utters. And whoever is singing background vocals sings like a goddess. Perfect fall foliage driving music. I can’t wait to get into the rest of the album.
