Last night was my two year anniversary and we’ve got a sick infant at home, so the blog may suffer from a lack of creativity this week. Luckily other blogs are putting out stellar content.
Sound on the Sound tipped me off to Fleet Foxes performance on Letterman. It took me several months, but I now see what all the fuss is about. I can’t wait to see them at the Treasure Island Festival.

Joe at Each Note Secure posted a new track from Wilco and captured their stellar Lolla concert garb on camera. He also posted a video of Wilco singing at the 7th inning stretch and a Tweedy interview with the announcers.. Here’s the track:
Wilco – One Wing (Live at Lolla 2008)
Aquarium Drunkard has a great bootleg of Jim James live at the Newport Folk Festival. Here are two tracks from that:
Jim James – Wonderful (That Way I Feel) featuring M. Ward
Fans of the Go! Team will be pleased to know that they are offering free music over here.
Muzzle of Bees showed me that Pitchfork had a rooftop performance with The Hold Steady.
And Nine Bullets reports on the Deep Blues Festival, including several MP3′s.

Thanks for posting the link to the Nine Bullets report on Deep Blues.
Deep Blues will be back in ’09. Hope you’ll help spread the word.
Each day on the fest myspace page, a festival performer is being featured with soundboard recordings and video. Come see what you missed.
Thanks for the Wilco mp3!
I’m supposed to be headed up for the SF festival — come check out my site in a couple of weeks and I’ll have some good stuff for you to share
Keep up the good work, I’ve been a fan for a while
The two Jim James links (Bermuda Highway and Wonderful) don’t work. Says I don’t have permission to access the files when I click on the link.
Thanks and keep up the good work – I love your recommendations!
hey guys! Judging by that clip, fleet fox is pretty damn sweet! It sounds like Jim James is singing for Grizzly Bear to me… I’m definitely looking into that group more!
You should check out this band called The Slant… I heard em on all things considered on NPR. They are aaaaright! I think theyre from Pittsburgh too, which is a rarity.
Happy Tuesday everybody!
