We’ll get back to the music soon enough (I’m sure some of you are tired of all the SXSW talk), but this is an important post.

First, I’d like to thank Bloodshot Records for letting us be a part of their day party at Yard Dog. It was absolutely, without a doubt, the most well-attended day party I saw all week and the lineup was amazing. Several of our favorite bands were there, including Ha Ha Tonka, Bobby Bare Jr, and Deadstring Brothers. We also saw Justin Townes Earle and Firewater for the first time. And let’s not forget about the crowd. I don’t think I’ve seen so many people with smiles on their faces in one place, even in the long beer lines on a 93 degree day.

I’d also like to thank our live session sponsor, Beer Nuts, for providing us with the free beer nuts and koozies to hand out. Oh, and lets also thank them for helping out with all of our live sessions. We wouldn’t have those without them.

Speaking of sessions, they also wouldn’t be possible without our producer/friend Steve Shirk. We met last year at SxSW and it’s been great getting to know one another. I know I speak for all of us at HearYa (and our readers/listeners) when I say thanks. Your many hours of hard work are appreciated, as is your friendship.

Awe shucks!
No really. That was a tremendous weekend. I had a blast. The Bloodshot Day Party just blew me away. The lineup was sick… everyone played great. Hot Sun, cold Shiner Bock, salty Beer Nuts, just enough shade to keep you from fallin over. Thanks BLOODSHOT!
Thanks, HearYa!
Can’t wait to hear how the board recordings sound.
Hey fellas,
Sorry I missed you guys and your salty nuts. Between gigs, hanging w/the wife and friends combined with just being shit-faced we never got to hang.
The guy with boobs’ name is Leslie. He’s famous in Austin. He runs for mayor each election. The first time i met him he was wearing a leotard. Sexy.
