I’ll have a full SxSW recap in the next few days, but I just wanted to take a minute to thank the great city of Austin for a fantastic time.

On Saturday night, I dragged three of my friends into Buffalo Billiards to see The Delta Spirit at Midnight. We all hit the wall about 6 hours earlier, but just kept on going. As The Delta Spirit tore through an inspired set, the true spirit of SXSW dawned on me. It’s really just a whole bunch of musicians, PR people, label reps, fans, journalists, and bloggers, pushing themselves to the point of exhaustion for one reason: We love music.

Watching Ha Ha Tonka on Friday afternoon was, as my buddy Moish put it, “Transcendent.” I agreed. Some performances made me want to jump out of my skin and scream to the world, “This is awesome! Are you watching this?”

So thanks again to everybody that made this past weekend one of the best I have ever had. I’ll see you next year.
