Hey - that MMJ link downloaded Golden, not Lowdown. Both great tunes, so I'm equally pleased.

Hmm, this was my first time for the benefit, and I was not as impressed as the hype I heard from everyone who has been.

Regina Spektor was good, John Mayer was good as well, but was short. I was hoping for some of his more bluesy stuff. My hands down favorite was Tom Waits, he performed an exorcism before our very eyes and really won the crowd over (at least up on the lawn). Neil seemed subdued. Jerry Lee seemed to be going through the motions, but the guy has been around a long time so I would not fault him- he's a living legend. As my most anticipated performance, Metallica was a letdown- too many covers, some intonation problems, and didn't really dig the acoustic version of Disposable Heroes much either (I think they could have done so much more with it). Keeping in mind this was Bridge School, guess this was the place to experiment, as I think a regular Metallica show would have ended in a riot. And, no Bruce. I drowned the disappointment away in a couple $12 beers.

All in all, I will certainly attend again, the cause is worthy and you get to hear some interesting stuff.

How was the show? I, myself would have loved to have been there... Tom is one of my heroes. I hope you got your Bruce on, esp. if Springsteen joined Tom with a duet of "Jersey Girl".

What would we be without wishful thinking, eh?

Looking forward to reading about it.
cheers,
