The Black Keys’ latest album, Magic Potion, keeps finding it’s way back into my earbuds and keeps getting better. In my Magic Potion review, I said it was at the bottom of the list on my favorite Keys albums. It’s climbing its way to the top.

Magic Potion is definitely in their top two as far as complete albums go. As far as I am concerned, this album brings what the other albums lacked, it is slightly, and I mean slightly more polished while still retaining that raw, gritty, recorded in my grandmother’s basement with a $5 microphone from radio shack.
They sound great because of this, and with a slight more polish as they did in magic potion (there is an upgrade which you can definitely hear) it rings through really nicely.
Kyle, agree with bout you and Oz. This is an album that just keeps getting better with time, and I do think it due to Auerbach’s improved production skills.
