I made a rare visit to Spin over the weekend and, nestled between in-depth coverage on Amy Winehouse’s upcoming wedding and breaking news about The Killers’s show cancellations due to Brandon Flowers’ scratchy throat, I ran across this great Dr. Dog track. It’s a nice take on Architecture in Helsinki’s “Heart it Races.”
In other breaking news, Aversion reports that Scott Stapp was just arrested the other day for domestic violence. Someone (hopefully a woman) just needs to kick his ass already. This is actually the second time I’ve written about Stapp on this blog. I’m not proud of that.
And Aquarium Drunkard tipped us off to the new, live EP from the Black Keys streaming on their myspace page. I listened to it today and its great. From one drunkard to another, thanks AD.
Finally, our live indie music sessions are really picking up steam. The Buffalo Killers will be coming out shortly on HearYa and Illinois just visited us in the studio yesterday. More to come!
