Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids have a great album called Robbers and Cowards that we’ve never reviewed, but have listened to quite a bit over the past few months. It’s great to hear Nathan Willett, CWK’s lead singer, play stripped down versions of “Hospital Beds” and “We used to Vacation” on AOL’s The Interface.

I didn’t want to like these guys. There was so much hype and the lead singer looked like a pretentious ass. He may very well be for all I know, but their disc is great and he shows a shitload of talent hammering these two tracks out solo. This link is well worth 5 minutes of your time. Makes you appreciate them even more.

As soon as I found out about these guys I totally fell in love, I got out and actually RAN to buy the album, I never listened to anything like this and this interface is simply awesome, Nathan is really good at acoustic versions!
