What I get from reading the list and from most of the comments is two fold: (1) the list included many singers that were enertainers/frontmen(women) and not neccesarily "metal" (2) people have trouble with labels. Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Heavy Metal, Death Metal, Acid Rock, Alternative Rock, Grunge, what are we up to now, EMO? I mean come on people, whats with the labels and isnt the genre about not fititng into labels to begin with. I grew up in the 70's and listened to shit that at the time was considered "not playable on radio", Alice Cooper for example..into the 80's Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept (Udo Dirksneider...lol, to even read that name made me laugh and start singing 'Balls to the Wall'), into the hairband 80's Motley Crue, Poison, and even at the time Queensryche. People forget that a lot of bands were underground, or not so popular with the mainstream and after one or two albums became successful, which made them sound different and try different things. Judas Priest is a perfect example, Metallica..my God I remember "Metal up your ass" bootleg and "Creeping Death", no one was listening to this except hard core metal heads at the time. Led Zeppelin at the time was the same way, it wasnt until 10 years after the fact that mainstream caught a hold of it. So enough with the labels fellow rock music lovers. All is relative. If its ROCK then its on this list, in my opinion..whether that be Hard Rock, Metal, Heavy Metal, Death Metal, Grunge or so forth...cant have 90% of these singers on here if its only considered "Metal" and who would decide who was and wasnt? Maybe the list should have been "Top 100 frontmen who imacted metal" or to some degree. Bruce Dikinson...great frontman, great performer, long ass Iron Maiden songs, great scream, same tone and voice in every song...if my memory serves me correct; same with Halford, and Priest is still one of my favorite bands. Bon Scott, same voice and tone in every song, but yet still an icon of rock/hard rock, metal. Sebastian Bach, incredible levels and voice, super great scream...but you cant pick one or two songs out of Skid Row's history and call them metal by any means...they were hair band/glam rock just as much as any other band at the time. Chris Cornell, my favorite singer next to Plant of all time, super great frontman and performer but when he goes nuts and does solo albums or collabs he makes me want to puke. Jimi Hendrix, my God, a man that redefined rock, and if you dont call his live versions of Hey Joe, Voodoo Child, or Machine Gun metal then neither is more than half the songs from the majority of bands on this list..haha! Really! Danzig; it cracks me up to see people keep mentioning him, but if asked they can give you one song he ever did, and its far from a Heavy Metal song, Hard Rock may-be. The list is for top frontment, influential frontmen obviously...putting Danzig on there is like putting Henry Rollins on there, in my opinion. Some of the names needs moved around, and sure - some need deleted or replaced but not for the reasons half of you opinionated morons give. Long live rock!

man Phil Anselmo is on the list. It would have been ridiculous if he wouldn't have been SOMEWHERE on it... in my opinion, John Davis should have been somewhere higher and Maynard too.

shaun morgan should be up pretty high, he has an identical voice to kurt cobain and kurts # 20. kurt was also grunge not metal so he shouldnt even be on the list but since you did bother to put him there, he should be like fucking number 1 or something not all the way down there, plus i think matt sanders aka m shadows is decent enough to be on there somewhere, and david dramain deserves to be higher up to. johnathon davis is good but not good enough for 14 he should be more like 20 or so. jesus, you guys are stupid.
